Hy-Lok’s Pipe Fittings:
Fittings are commonly used in a variety of applications in plumbing and hydraulic applications. Different types of tubes and pipes require their own style of fitting that range in shapes, sizes and materials. Below are some of the most common pipe fittings used:
Elbows:
Elbow fittings are primarily used to alter the direction of the fluid flow. They are mainly manufactured in 90 and 45-degree angles and are mostly females. While most industries use the standard size for elbow fittings, some might require variations according to the piping diameters.
Couplings:
Coupling fittings are designed to cover pipes and avoid leakage from existing couplings that are split or damaged. Two types of coupling fittings are used in plumbing (regular and slip-coupling) and use rubber seals or gaskets to avoid any leakage.
